The 12th Annual King of the Compacts presented by Just Right Heating & Cooling is for Thursday, September 30 thru Saturday, October 2 at Florence Speedway.
The Late Models and G&G Express Sport Mods will also be on the racing card for the weekend.
The action kicks off on Thursday, September 30 with an Open Practice for the Compacts, Late Models, and G&G Express Sport Mods. The Pit Gates will open at 4:00pm followed by practice from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. General Admission for Thursday’s Open Practice will be free. A pit pass is $20 for Thursday, September 30.
On Friday, the Compacts will begin their preliminary events, which include Hot Laps, Hot Lap Qualifying, and a Fast Qualifier Dash. A full program is on deck for the Late Models, including Heats, B-Mains, and a $3,000-to-win feature. The G&G Express Sport Mods will compete in Heats, B-Mains, and an $800-to-win feature.
Danstunes will close out the night on Friday with an after party at the backstretch bar the begins after the final checkered flag of the night.
On Friday, October 1 the Pit Gates open at 3:00pm, followed by the Main Gate at 5:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 6:00pm with racing action kicking off after immediately following Hot Laps.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area for Friday, October 1 will be $18 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $10. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $35.
Saturday’s on-track action includes Hot Lap Qualifying, Heats, B-Mains and the $10,000-to-win, 12th Annual King of the Compacts presented by Just Right Heating & Cooling feature. The Late Models will be in action featuring Heats, B-Mains, and a $5,000-to-win feature; while the G&G Express Sport Mods battle in Heats, B-Mains, and a $1,000-to-win feature.
On Saturday, October 2 the Pit Gates open at 12:00pm (noon), followed by the Main Gate at 2:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 3:00pm with racing action kicking off after immediately following Hot Laps.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area for Saturday, October 2 will be $25 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $15. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $40.
A bonus will be award to the Top-3 finishers of the Late Model feature each night who are utilizing a steel block engine. The Top-3 Steel Block Late Models in Friday and Saturday night’s Late Model feature will receive $250, $150, and $100 respectively. Steel Block Late Models must declare at time of pill draw to be eligible for bonus money.
Due to the anticipated high car count for this event the entire backstretch will be reserved only for those who have a pit pass. The backstretch parking area will be used for overflow pit parking.
The pre-entry deadline for the 12th Annual King of Compacts presented by Just Right Heating & Cooling has been extended to Tuesday, September 28th. Enter by this date to receive free driver entry to Thursday’s open practice. After that, entry fees can only be paid on race day at the track.
