Florence Speedway officials are excited to announce some key dates for our 2024 schedule.
First, we will open our season with the 48th Annual Spring 50 on Saturday March 16th. This traditional early season special will feature a $10,000 to win feature event.
The 38th Annual Ralph Latham Memorial is scheduled for Saturday, May 4th. The stars of the Lucas Oil Late Models make their first Florence Speedway appearance of 2024 in a $15,000 to win event.
The 42nd Annual Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 presented by Lucas Oil will be August 8th-10th and will be growing once again. Already one of the highest paying races in the sport, the event will receive an increase of over $30,000 in additional purse money. Thursday and Friday will again have twin features each night, but each will now pay $6,000 to win. Saturday’s non-qualifier race has been increased to a $3,000 to win event. Finally, the Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 feature event will pay $75,000 to win, and, an event record, $3,500 to start for a feature purse of over $200,000. The total Late Model weekend purse is in excess of $310,000 making it one of the top 3 paying races in the sport.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that 410 Winged Sprint Car racing returns to Florence Speedway on September 28th as Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson’s High Limit Racing Series presents the inaugural Kentucky Sprint Nationals! The series will make its Kentucky debut in an event that is sure to be one of our biggest races of the year.
The rest of the schedule is being worked on, and should come out in later January.
We are currently working on getting ticket and seat renewals ready to be sent out in the next few weeks. We expect new ticket and reserved seat sales for the North/South 100, Ralph Latham Memorial, and Kentucky Sprint Nationals to open in late January. Keep an eye at florencespeedway.com and our Facebook page for updates.
