Camping is allowed at the track free of charge during the North/South week and weekend. No hookups are available. The camping areas will be marked and site maps with the camping areas marked will be posted at the track. You can begin marking camping spots at 12:00 PM on Saturday August 3rd and at any time during the week after that. All camping spots are first come first served.
No staging for backstretch camping before Thursday August 1st at 12 pm.
NOTE: CAMPING PROCEDURE FOR 2024. In an effort to help with some of the congestion on the opening day of camping, we will be using the same procedure for camper staging as 2023. For those who want to camp in the lots to the Southwest of the speedway outside turn 1, you will stage at the gate outside turn 1. For those wanting to camp in the lots on the backstretch and to the Southeast of the speedway outside turn 2, you will stage in the pit area. The roads between the different areas will be closed, so make sure you are staged in the staging area for where you want to camp. This is only for the opening of camping on August 3rd. To see a map explaining the staging click HERE
On Saturday August 3rd, no ATVs, UTV’s, Golf Carts, Motorcycles, or similar vehicles may be used for marking camping sites.
In an attempt to control some of the problems we have had in past years with running out of room in the camping areas, we are implementing the following rule. Beginning Thursday August 8th at 12 PM, all marked off campsites must be occupied by some sort of camper. From that point, any empty sites will be opened up for anyone to use. Also, those who mark off excessive areas and do not use all of the space they mark, may be asked to reduce their area. The goal of this new rule is not to force people into smaller areas, or prevent people from saving spots for friends. The camping areas are one of our biggest logistical problems every year at the event, and many times, people take up way too much room, or mark off spots that never get used. This leads to us having to designate more and more areas off for camping. With us only having so much space for camping and car parking, something needs to be done to alleviate the problem. With this new rule, we realize that there will be situations that arise that we cannot foresee. We will be taking each situation on a case by case basis and may need to make changes as we go. We ask for everyone’s cooperation in this. Please remember, camping is free. For that to continue, everyone needs to be considerate in the space they use.
How much camping is available? Will I be able to get a spot?
Camping is free and first come first served. Our camping areas are rolling farmland. The best spots fill up quickly. Typically, there are spots still available throughout the weekend, but the closer to the race they are, the more unlevel and farther from the track the open spots will be.
Due to the constant changing nature of the situation, we can not give camping updates nor guarantee there will be available spots at any time.
Do you have a shower facility?
Florence Speedway does NOT have showers on-site. There are multiple Truck Stops with showers in the Richwood and Walton area, approximately 10 minutes from the track.
What is your policy on children in the pits?
Children are allowed in the pit areas, but must be accompanied by an adult. A minor release form must be filled out by the parent or guardian. Typically, children 12 and under are free in the pit area, but 13 and up are charged full price.
Credit cards may be used to purchase tickets at our main entrance only. Credit cards are also accepted at all of our concession stands. A minimum order may be required on concession items to use a credit card.
What is your golf cart/ATV/SxS policy?
ATV’s and mini-bikes are only allowed in the pit area. Golf Carts and Side By Sides are allowed both in the pit areas and camping areas. Dirt bike type motorcycles are not allowed. Anyone operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner, including going at excessive speeds, doing wheelies, burn outs, or anything determined to be dangerous, will be forced to remove the vehicle from speedway property. Side By Sides owners may also be asked to park their vehicles during high congestion periods in the parking and pit areas.
Due to the large crowd expected to attend, and the crowding issues in the infield, No ATV’s, golf carts, side by sides, or other motorized vehicles will be allowed in the infield. Each team may have one ATV or similar vehicle for tools and tires in the infield, but it only can be in the designated hot pit area, and only while that team’s car is on the track. NO standing on ATV’s or Pit boxes while in the infield.
Guests can obtain a ‘pass-out’ ticket upon leaving the track that will allow for re-entry to the event. Any guest returning their car or leaving the event for any reason must obtain a ‘pass-out’ ticket or they will not be allowed back in the event without purchasing another ticket.
Marking of open seating sections is allowed starting Saturday, August 3rd at 12 pm. Please be courteous to those around you by only marking what you need. No marking of seats with adhesive tapes (duct tape, masking tape, etc.).
What is your policy in the event of inclement weather?
Due to the magnitude of this multi-day event, it’s nearly impossible to have a set weather policy. Unless we have cancelled or announced a change, everything is on as scheduled. We will not make predictions on what will happen at any particular event either due to weather or other circumstances. We recommend you keep an eye on our Facebook page and website as any changes will be posted there as soon as they occur.
The race will be streamed live on Floracing.com
Trained Service animals are the only animals allowed inside the gates or grandstand areas at Florence Speedway. All animals must be leashed and under their handler’s control at all times. This includes making sure the animal is not out of control, growling, or barking excessively. Handlers must immediately clean up any waste left by their animals. Emotional Support Animals are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act, therefore, they are not allowed inside the gate areas or grandstands.
