This weekend is one of the biggest of the year as we close out our 2023 season with the 14th annual King of Compacts!
The 14th annual King of the Compacts is set for Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th at Florence Speedway!
The King of Compacts returns with a $10,000 to win Feature event for the top Compact drivers in the nation!
Action Kicks off Friday with Hot Lap Qualifying and Heat Races for the Compacts. Also we will be having open practice for the other divisions competing that weekend.
We will close out the night with a post race party featuring Rolled in Stone at the Backstretch Bar. There is no additional cover for the post race party.
On Saturday, we return with Last Chance Qualifiers for the Sport Compacts, plus the $10,000 to win King of Compacts and the $250 to win non-qualifiers race.
Also competing will be the Steel Block Late Model Series in the $2,000 to win Krazy Lady Kabins 25 presented by Slicker Graphics, the G&G Express Sport Mods in a $1,000 to win program, the Crown Vics will be competing in a $1,000 to win feature event, plus the Ohio Valley Legends will be on hand.
On Friday, Pit Gates open at 3:00pm, followed by the Main Gate at 5:00pm. Open practice is set to begin at 5:30pm with Compact racing action kicking off approximately 7:00. At the completion of Compact heats, we will hold open practice till 10pm.
Admission in the grandstands for Friday is free. A pit pass is $25.
On Saturday, the Pit Gates open at 3:00pm, followed by the Main Gate at 4:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 5:00pm with racing action kicking off after immediately following Hot Laps.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area for Saturday,will be $15 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $10. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $45.
As an added bonus for fans, on Saturday October 7th, we will be featuring $1 beers at our beer booths!
