This weekend is one of the biggest of the year as we host the Crowning of the Kings Weekend!
The 13th Annual King of the Compacts presented by Davidson Motorsports, and the King of Sport Mods presented by G&G Express and Longhorn Chassis is set for Thursday, September 29 thru Saturday, October 1 at Florence Speedway.
The action kicks off on Thursday, September 29th with an Open Practice for the Compacts, Sport Mods, and Crown Vics. The Pit Gates will open at 4:00pm followed by practice from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. General Admission for Thursday’s Open Practice will be free. A pit pass is $25 for Thursday, September 29.
On Friday, the Compacts and Sport Mods will begin their preliminary events, which include Hot Lap Qualifying, Heat races, and twin $1,000 to win features for both divisions.
Danstunes will close out the night on Friday with an after party at the backstretch bar the begins after the final checkered flag of the night.
On Friday, September 30th the Pit Gates open at 3:00pm, followed by the Main Gate at 5:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 6:00pm with racing action kicking off after immediately following Hot Laps.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area for Friday, will be $15 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $10. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $35.
Saturday, October 1st’s on-track action includes Hot Laps, Last Chance Qualifiers and $10,000-to-win features for the Compacts and Sport Mods. Also racing will be the Crown Vics racing in a $500 to win program.
On Saturday, the Pit Gates open at 12:00pm (noon), followed by the Main Gate at 2:30pm. Hot Laps are set to begin at 3:00pm with racing action kicking off after immediately following Hot Laps.
Ticket prices in the General Admission area for Saturday,will be $15 for Adults (18+) while ages 13-17 will be $10. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free to the General Admission area. A pit pass is $45.
As an added bonus for fans, on Saturday October 1st, we will be featuring $1 beers at our beer booths!
The pre-entry deadline for the King of Compacts and King of Sport Mods have been extended to Tuesday, September 27th. Enter by this date to receive free driver entry to Thursday’s open practice. After that, entry fees can only be paid on race day at the track.
